C. Benefits
- Nursing Excellence Awards: Recognize members for their outstanding achievements and contributions in Clinical, Community, Administration, Research, Education and Entrepreneurship.
- Scholarship and Research Awards: Promote scholarship by providing financial assistance to members who are in pursuit for baccalaureate and graduate nursing education. The Research award provides monetary awards for members involved in nursing research.
- Continuing Education Opportunities: PNANJ provides a rich offering of educational programs for professional development of members and other nurses in the state. PNANJ is an approved provider by the New Jersey State Nurses Association.
- Mentoring Program: PNANJ provides resources and support for the professional growth and development for newly arrived nurses, graduate students and those changing specialties or roles.
- Professional Networking/Leadership Development: Offer opportunities to dialogue and collaborate with Filipino-American leaders and experts in various fields of specialty.
- Community Involvement and Representation: Provide representation to influence social and health care policies affecting members, Filipino-american nurses and Philippine-American communities, in general.
- Newsletter/Website: PNANJ publishes the bi-annual newsletter for members, "In Touch" and provide access to this website. Members also receive the bi-annual publication of the PNAA, the "Philippine-American Nurse". members can also access the PNAA website as a link through this website.
- Membership to other organizations: PNANJ members have automatic membership with PNAA and The Federation of Philippine Societies of New Jersey. Members also enjoy a discounted membership fee to the New Jersey State Nurses Association and American Nurses Association.
